Project Name: "Advanced early warning system for damage, cyber attacks, sabotage and operator errors" under Action 1.1 "R&D Projects of Enterprises", Sub-action 1.1.1 "Industrial Research and Development Work Carried Out by Enterprises" of the Operational Programme Smart Growth 2014-2020 co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund.

Project Goal and Planned Effects: The project aims to create software for early real-time detection of machine and equipment damage, anomalies in the industrial process, detection of cyber attacks and deliberate or accidental destructive operator actions. The system combines process diagnostics and cyber attack detection (Intrusion Detection System) functions. Attack detection is based on a new operating principle of observing not only communication channels to the control system but also the process itself and automatically detecting patterns in its course indicating an attack. Additionally, the software will automatically detect operator errors and sabotage.

Project Goal and Planned Effects: "The aim of the project was to develop a device for intelligent management of electricity consumption in industrial plants. This goal was achieved by developing a predictive model for electricity prices and a hardware controller for monitoring the customer's current power consumption, together with advanced short-term consumption prediction, an advisory system for operators, and a system for optimizing the cost of electricity consumption.

A dedicated user interface integrated with DCS operator station (Honeywell Experion PKS) was also launched.

CHP optimization software for Enea Wytwarzanie EC Białystok Plant. The plant uses a heat accumulator. The following enOptimizer modules were implemented:

  • heat and electricity demand forecasting and electricity price profile forecasting
  • production plan optimization (main optimizer) including heat accumulator inventory
  • economic load distribution for boilers and turbines (production phase optimizer)
  • calculation of CHP economic effect as the difference between the actual Plant and CHP model without accumulator (required for Client internal settlements)
